Joan Olcott has over 27 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, the majority of those years were spent working inner city hospitals in the Emergency Room, ICU, Post Anesthesia.  She also established five of the first School Based Health Programs in South Phoenix, Arizona providing onsite health care to school children.  She also managed 6 Family Practice and Jesse Owens Emergency Medical Center for 3 years and was instrumental in their Ambulatory JACHO certification.
 
In 2003 after receiving Medical Esthetic training from Ecletic Skin Institute she established her own successful Esthetic Practice in Mesa, Arizona providing care to clients with a desire to reach their optimal beauty.  In 2008 she joined the successful Body Sculpting Center and BodyNew MedSpa owned and operated by Dr. Marvin Borsand in Scottsdale Arizona.  There she provides guidance to clients in choosing the appropriate treatment necessary to reach their goals:  skincare, dermal fillers, neurtoxins, skin rejuvenation using many different lasers and intense pulse light and chemical peels.
 
Joan served on the Arizona State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice Committee for the last four years.  Joan has also worked with other Health Care Professionals in Arizona to protect their Esthetic Practice through legislation.  She is a member of the American Nurses Assn and The Arizona Nurses Assn.  She is a Faculty member of the Esthetic Skin Institute training Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Dentists in the Art and Science of Botox and Dermal Fillers.  She finds great pleasure in sharing her knowledge and expertiese with fellow Practitioners.
 
Joan was one of the founding members of AMEN and was instrumental in developing the first national Esthetic Certification for Health Care Professional. 
 
She continues to promote the role of Nurses in Esthetics and works to promote Health Care Professionals to join together to be united and to have a stronger voice.  There is power in numbers!
